    On mobile we really can;t stick a complete sidebar on top, that will take a lots of space or might completely hide other elements on page. So, yes. Tht is how it is designed. But with custom templating and using custom css you can achieve your requirement easily.

    Could you make the menu like restropress with horizontal sliding on mobile?

    Here you will also see an example of a horizontal sliding menu witch is sticky, it’s very useful on mobile, also it happen instandly if you add an article to the cart:
