Sticky autocomplete issue in Fluid Checkout

Got an issue with Fluid Checkout and google autocomplete (tested on FF/W10). Most often than not, the suggestions dropdown from google suddenly sticks on the screen and doesn’t want to go away. Have to refresh the page to make it go. Obviously, this completely kills the usability of this feature for customers.

PS. Perhaps, if could be at all possible, to add an additional [X] to the dropdown, to force its closing, would be an effective workaround for other unknown scenarios in the future.
