steps to create json

I’m using openlibrary.org for my Catalog System and have added a few books there to a list which I can copy the URL to get a JSON: https://openlibrary.org/people/richastro/lists/OL208148L/Richastro/export?format=json

but when I use the above to define the request URL in the WordPress Bookshelves plugin, , no books then show up.

When I use your example of https://openlibrary.org/people/george08/lists/OL97L/seeds.json I do get books to show up. I’m obviously doing something wrong in setting thigs up on openlibrary. Can you describe the proper steps to get a link to a JSON file to openlibrary.org that will work to get books to show up in your plugin?
