What are the exact steps to expect in Stripe during the re-authorization process? My accounting rep clicked the button in our WordPress dashboard, and said it redirected her to Stripe to login, then made her re-enter our business information. Then it asked for bank account login information, which is where we stopped to make sure it was secure.

    Hi @gsgsschu,

    Thank you for reaching out.

The process your accounting rep followed is indeed the correct one for re-authorizing Stripe on WooCommerce. After clicking the button on the WordPress dashboard, it redirects to Stripe for login. Once logged in, it’s standard procedure to re-enter business information to verify the account.

You can find more information on steps to reauthenticating here.

Entering login credentials to our bank account as well? That was more of the hold up. Thank you.

    Hi

Entering login credentials to our bank account as well? That was more of the hold up. Thank you.

This is a secure process, and you should be able to check the link for the ‘https://‘ as Stripe needs your bank details to initiate the transactions made through the payment gateway.

I hope this addresses all your concerns. Should you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

Is this process logged only in Stripe, or does it involve generating a new key? If a new key is required, will it be generated automatically, or will the existing key be applied after re-authentication?

    Hello premkumarbsetxt,

    Thank you for your reply.

WooCommerce for Stripe simply connects your store to the Stripe platform.
If you’re being asked for sensitive information like bank details, it’s happening on Stripe’s end.

I would recommend reaching out to Stripe support for further assistance to ensure everything is secure and handled properly.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Best regards.
