Steps for adding a new site / new domain to existing setup

Hi there,

I’m getting ready to add a third site to my multisite network with a different domain than the first two sites, which are setup sub-domain style. I want to add a third site with a totally different domain and am inquiring to you wonderful folks on the right sequence of steps.

1. Do I install the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin first and then add the new site or vice versa?

2. If I add the new site first, I am forced to name it with the subdomain in it because of the way WP is setup.

3. If that’s OK, will the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin fix this problem once I’ve installed and configured it properly?

I am running Windows 2008 Server so is there anything else I should look out for while doing this?
