stealth.php not appearing and no visitors on real time

  • Hello,

    I just activated the plugin, I am using dual tracking to have v3 and v4 analytics working and when I did a test using an incognito window I see on GA v3 that there are no real time visits, so I assume none at all is being tracked.

    I enabled the Super Stealth mode and I found a troubleshooting saying that if we cannot see a file finishing with stealth.php fired when we load the page we found the culprit, but I don’t know what to do next.

    Sorry, I didn’t get a notification of your messages!

    There must’ve been a change in the V4 library again (Google does this a lot lately, since they’ve been pushing the release of GA4 after the whole GDPR debacle in Europe)

    I will deactivate Stealth mode for the moment. I will go back to use the combination GA Google Analytics + CAOS (with no Stealth mode) because also I keep having strange visits, many direct with zero time on site and come from the USA when this country is not my main visitor.

    Now my direct visits increase to 30% when before it was only around 10-13% and USA was third fourth place and now is #1, as I said before I suspect many bots are not being blocked.

    Plus v3 and v3 numbers are totally different now, basically I don’t know what is true in the analytics numbers of past days XD

    Sorry for not getting back to you yesterday. I can confirm that Google changed the GA 4 library again. I’m working on a fix and will release an update soon.

    in any case I had to totally deactivate CAOS as I was using the combination GA Google Analytics + CAOS with no Stealth mode and tracking stopped completely.

    Now I came back to what I had previously and I can see all the excess of direct visits and visits from USA had reduced to a normal level.

    Google Analytics’ has been introducing many changes to the gtag.js library in the past few months. It’s impossible to keep track of them, and it introduces many bugs, then fixes some.

    Since I’ve already refunded your purchase, I’m closing this ticket. But for anyone reading this, I can only say: please be patient. ??
