Status selector has disappeared from custom posts edit page

    The status dropdown box that used to be in the WordPress PUBLISH box in the right sidebar (in the edit mode of a post) has disappeared. The previous status of a post still seems to be in effect, but I do not see the dropdown anymore. Thoughts?
