Status of WP Rig ?

  • Does anyone know what’s going on with the WP Rig project?

    The page of videos is still present at:
    https://wprig.io/course/wprig_en/

    …However, when I check out the code from github I am not getting the same code that was used for all those videos. For example, in the videos there is a “dev/” directory below the main “wprig-master/” directory but in the code from github, no such directory exists and the contents of the config file at “themeConfig.js” are completely different from what is shown in the video. I tried an older version (2.0) and it is also different. But on that entire web page there’s no mention of the fact that the code in github is completely different now.

    So I’m wondering if anyone knows the explanation.

    Got no answer at Github.
    Turns out that there are two github repos with similar names. The video displays the link to the wrong repo. The one that goes with the videos is at:
    https://github.com/wprig/wprig-io

    (I was asking here because there have been so many WordPress people involved with that project and it’s probably something that would be very helpful to a huge segment of the WordPress community)

    Actually, correction: After wasting many hours with the above mentioned links I discovered that neither one of them is usable at all. The page of videos at https://wprig.io/course/wprig_en/ is not currently usable. The links are not currently correct and even the tools are now so different from what is shown in the videos that the whole thing is useless. There is the paid linkedin alternative …I’ve spent some time with it also but will probably not continue with it.

    Hey Patrick, it’s a small group of developers trying to get WP Rig up and starting again. The videos have just recently been updated to be usable with V2 but if you have any problems you are welcome to open up an issue in the github project https://github.com/wprig/wprig and the site is https://wprig.io/course/wprig_en_v2/
