  • Plugin Author Marcus (aka @msykes)

As far as I’m concerned, would love to see it revived!

however, I’m not the author of this plugin, I just liked it so much i convinced him to let me put it up so that i didn’t have to manually download/install it each time ?? so might be worth asking omry first

not to knock this one, but I do believe there’s another alternative that’s kept being maintained, i’ve not had to use this in years actually but may not be worth reinventing the wheel again

Here is one vote for an upgrade to it. Think it would be cool to keep something that is a work of art in coding going. I know thy keepers at www.remarpro.com is going to go through the list of plugins to oust the old. I think it would be cool if user votes for plugins that should go before they are gone to have a chance if anyone wants to maintain that code base but updated it. Some old plugs would be cool to see life breathed back into them.

Yes @madtownlems said, the plugin is still working with newer versions. I didn’t get any trouble with this plugin yet. An update is appreciated but no hurry ??

Plugin commander seems to be more functional and advantageous than the alternative for me

One advantage is that a plugin( Say Yourls ) can be elected to active or deactivate on a specific sub-site even if it is activated network wide. Why is so important? Because some sub-sites may not need the plugins like yourls network wide. Here, plugin commander helps us to deactivate it on a specific sub-site keeping it active on network wide

Multisite-plugin-manager or YD ‘s plugin won’t work in that way as they both depend on WordPress’s default functionality

    Thanks !

I’ve updated this version of Plugin Commander as follows:
    – moved menu items from site admin to Network Admin->Plugins menu
    – cleaned up notices/warnings that come with WP_DEBUG on

What’s the best way for me to share this with Marcus? Does anyone else want to review/test, etc?
