Hello, since a few days my dashboard does not show any number or any graphic except the very basic stats. Here is a screenshot. https://ibb.co/5MzJvYq I tried to update everything, deinstall, reinstall… but it’s not working.
Can you help me out please?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi @emiko356,

It looks like tracking still works, so no data is lost. The issue looks like a displaying issue.

I think some console errors should show. Could you send a screenshot of the console?

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

Hello yes indeed you are right there are some errors. Here the link:

Hmm.. The setting ‘size’ should already be initialised by ChartJS, a library we use for displaying the graph. We think the ChartJS script has not loaded yet resulting in an error.

We assume the order in which the scripts load is not correct. Are you using a plugin that improves page speed? For example: a caching plugin or some kind of backend optimiser?

Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
No i’m not using anything like a cache or optimizer on this website. And I did not modify anything (technically) on the website since a few month. It just “stopped working” from one day to another. I assumed it was some updates conflict so i updated everything but it’s still same. Sorry I don’t have any clue either. Last thing I did not test is to desactivate all the plugins and check one by one where is the problem, but I can’t do it in the day when people are on the website.

I understand that you can’t deactivate everything on a live website.

It’s weird that it just stopped working. Are you using an ad-blocker?

If you are not using an ad-blocker, have you tried visiting the dashboard on another device and/or browser?

    Thread Starter emiko356

    (@emiko356)

No ad-blocker and what’s even more strange is that my client has also an admin account and she has the exact same problem. so nothing to do with adblock or the device I think. I’ll try on a device i’ve never used before but I don’t think it will help.
I have to wait tonight and see if I can disable plugins and check.

I possibly found the issue. Could you download and try and upload this branche: https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/burst/tree/ChartJS-bug-fix

If that does not work, disabling plugins would be your best bet finding the problem.

Let me know how it goes ??

Seems not unfortunately. I’ll try to test later tonight and let you know.
thanks anyway for your quick and caring support.

That’s unfortunate. I hope we can still help you solve this problem. Let me know what you find out tonight.

No problem, I’m here to help ??

I’ve just discussed the issue with another developer. We might have found the solution. Could you download and try this branche: https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/burst/tree/ChartJS-bug-fix (Same name as the previous branche, but I’ve just added some changes)

I hope this helps and sorry for the trouble.

    Hi @emiko356,

I was wondering if the above branche solved your problem?

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

Hi, I did not answer because I had no time yet to make the test of disabling all the plugins one by one. But in the actual statement unfortunately your branche did not solve it. I’ll try to do the test asap and let you know.
    Kind regards,
    Emilien

Hello, actually my developer told me that the “Chart.defaults.font” is undefind in statistics.min.js file and it gives an error. Maybe can you check and fix this please?

    Plugin Author Hessel de Jong

    (@hesseldejong)

    Hi @emiko356,

Okay the problem from what I can see in the screenshot of your console, is that “Chart.defaults.font” can not be set. So I removed that part. So the font in the chart might be a little bit different, but I think this will fix the issue.

Could you try this branch: https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/burst/tree/stats-not-showing-anymore

If it does not work could you also attach a screenshot of the console again?

    Hope this finally helps ??

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hi @emiko356,

Did you come around to testing this branche? Let me know if it solved your issue.

I’ll resolve this topic for now. Feel free to open this again or open a new thread.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel
