Stats not displaying on dashboard

    WE have been using SSP for a while now and are trying to get some stats. The Stats plugin does not show anything. I have turned off ALL plugins on the website save Seriously Simple Podcasting and Seriously Simple Stats. I have switched to the TwentyNineteen theme. Podcasts do play. Select any on this page. https://ultraconsultants-staging.ijkyuke6-liquidwebsites.com/podcast/ This is our staging site.

    I can open multiple windows, tabs, download files etc and paly the podcasts through to the end. Nothing changes in the Stats display.

    The table wp_ssp_stats is not updating. I’ve tried deleting and re-installing / activating the plugin. No change.

    Ideas?

    Looking at your site it seems that you’ve likely modified things to bypass the normal redirect action that SSP takes to log stats into SS Stats. This would’ve likely been code you got from the bottom of our help doc here: https://support.castos.com/article/59-podcast-media-will-not-play-anywhere – bypassing this redirect will result in both the direct linking to your media file (as you can see by clicking on either the Download or Play In New Window links below your player), and as a result will not log listens to SS Stats. That redirect step is where SS Stats gathers its data.

    Cool beans Craig.

    Pulled out the filter I had previously added. Created the needed nginx conf file using the commands you referenced.

    Had our host – Liquid Web – apply it for me.
    Life is good.

    Stats working.

    Podcasts downloading. You guys rock.
