• We just migrated out site to self-hosted WordPress on Host Gator. The Jetpack Carousel is wonderful and working well. The stats on each individual picture in the carousel are only showing up for some posts, while other posts are not showing individual stats for the carousel.

Can you please explain how to get the stats to show for each individual photo in a carousel?

    Thanks!

We would also like to get our stats migrated from indulgesound.wordpress.com to https://indulge-sound.com (which was recently moved to Host Gator).

    Hi Elise,

Jetpack Stats record particular page views, not individual image views, and so individual images in a carousel would not trigger a view. A different stats platform would need to be used to track individual image loads.

I’ve merged the WordPress.com data over to your Jetpack-powered site.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Cheers!

The views of each item in the carousel were registered individually in the statistics before moving the site from WordPress.com to a hosted site. Can you explain why that would stop?

There are technical differences between WordPress.com stats and Jetpack stats that allows us to track Carousel views that aren’t included in Jetpack currently.

I’m checking with our Data team on if this is something that they’re technically able to bring to Jetpack and if it has been placed on the roadmap.

I’ll let you know once I hear back from them.

    Thanks!
