• I’m using the stats plugins for a few days now. According to what it says, it should not be counting my own visits (at least not when I’m logged in as admin).
After seeing some fishy results, I did a little test – I tried opening popular pages in a new tab from the dashboard. These pages were counted. Clicks on links are counted as well as referrer info (wordpress dashboard).

  • You’re using which stats plugin? There’s a very large number of them.

I had the same problem and it was because I had a dynamic ip address..now that I have switched to a static ip address and excluded my ip from being counted, it works.

I’m referring to the wordpress.com stats plugin (the one that requires an API-key, just like Akismet).
