    Hello,

After hapilly using MailPoet for a few years, given the pressure to switch to MailPoet3, I recently made a first attempt. Every went fine. But I am quite disappointed to see there is no longer any (free) way to see which recipients open, click or never open messages. I mostly found it very useful to check, every now and then, which recipients never opened my messages, allowing me to remove them from my mailing list. Is there any other free way to do this with MailPoet3? I have small mailing list, under 300 names, I really don’t want to start paying for this service.

    Thank you for your advice.

  • I have asked about this numerous times. These basic simple functions were removed for use by paying customers only. It’s a sorry mistake. Our reputations depend on removing deadbeats from our lists so we do not inundate their mail accounts with unwanted messages. So far, the development team has refused to consider this simple request. I am very disappointed. Thanks for speaking about this issue. Let’s hope that common sense might prevail.

Thank you for your response @robertburr, even though it unfortunately confirms sad news. ??

In that case, I think I’ll stick to using MailPoet2 for now. Unless that poses a security risk because updates are no longer being offered? Thank you for your thoughts on that front.

I would also choose to go back to MP2 for this necessary feature but I am already invested in version 3 on a few sites and there is no easy way to go back. The fact that MP2 will never be updated again is a long term problem as well.

Many mistakes were made in the transition. It was very painful for many users. It has become more stable recently, thank goodness, but it has not be easy to live with while this mess unfolded and to deal with all the issues.

Thank you again for your thoughts @robertburr. Since I have only just made a first run with MailPoet3, I can easily switch back to MailPoet2 for now and try finding another plugging altogether to do the job. It’s a shame, I was quite satisfied with MailPoet until now.
