    Hi,

We’re getting really strange bugs with the Woocommerce Statistics. That’s not the only website where we have this kind of bug with statistics, I think something is really broken with your statistics system, and that’s not a recent probem…

The problem that brings me here today is with taxes statistics. On our “nomdunepipe.shop” website (and on the staging version I just cloned : “nomdunepipe.staging.rectangle.net”), the statistics for last month are saying that there have been 14.000€ total sales, with…. 49.500€ total taxes.

On the staging version, I only have Woocommerce, ACF, and PDF packing slips enabled. I recalculated the stats in Settings > Import datas at the bottom. I flushed all possible caches. I’m out of options…

As I said, that’s not the first time we witness really strange behaviors with the statistics system, it may be related to another plugin, but then why recalculating the statistics with no plugins enabled doesn’t change a thing ?

    It seems I can’t copy the system report here…… soooo…. ?

  • Hi @clementrectangle

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that the Statistics section of your site is showing incorrect taxes and even cloning your site to a staging environment makes no difference, correct?

To better picture what you are referring to here, can you please share with us a clear screenshot of what you see on your end so that we could address you more effectively?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Additonally, I’d like to understand your site properly, please share your System Status Report that you can find via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Yes, that is correct.

Here are 2 screenshots of the Statistics pages :

And here is the system report from the production website. I could provide the staging website report if required, where all plugins but Woocommerce are disabled.

    Hello,

Thank you for sending the system status report.

Please head to WooCommerce > status > scheduled actions > pending. Try to run the failed and pending actions manually, allow some time for the site to process these actions.

    Then please do the following:

    1. Go to Analytics > Settings in your backend.
    2. Scroll down to the “Import Historical Data” section and do a click on the “Start” button.

I’ll need some time to import. You can even close that page and come back later, it will be working in the background.

Once the import is done, go to the Analytics reports again to see if the data looks correct now. If it is not correct, then go back to Analytics > Settings. And be sure to delete the previously imported data:

After that, run the import tool again. This will give a fresh, and complete data set.

Let us know if that worked for you.

    Hi,

I followed those steps, but unfortunatly it didn’t fix the issue.

When clicking on “Delete previously imported data”, I see a message saying that the previously imported datas will be deleted, but I still see “0 of 0” if I don’t uncheck “skip previously imported” (even after reloading the page), would that mean that the datas aren’t correctly deleted ?

Maybe I could provide a test website with credentials so that you can see it by yourself ?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

According to our forum guidelines, it is not permitted to offer access to sites or test sites.

I understand the issue is still present.

If you already have a test site, can you please check again after switching the site’s theme to Storefront and disabling all plugins except WooCommerce? (More Info). To create a test site, we recommend WP Staging.

If that does not help, can you please navigate to WooCommerce > System Status > Logs? And provide us with any message error that is visible on there.

    Hi,

Have you changed something about it in a recent Woocommerce update ?

After noticing that it worked on the test website with no plugin enabled and storefront, I re-did the statistics deleting and reimporting on the production website, to confirm the bug was still there on this one, and the statistics seems to be back at normal…

I don’t get what changed in the meantime, I’ll investiguate and let you know if I find anything usefull to know.

    Hi @clementrectangle

If I understand you correctly, switching to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled fixed your issue here, right?

If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.
