• You have faith in Automatic and WordPress built up by years of great updates and service but the money grab being attempted by JetPack for their simple stats makes you wonder what’s going on. I’ve trusted them with my data on all of my sites and I’m now getting the old bait and switch pulled to charge me to retain access to my data. For my highest volume site they want $456 per month for a very basic stats plugin. Hopefully someone will pull the plug on this moneygrab.

  • Agreed, it’s absolutely outrageous and not aligned with the foundations of WordPress or, I thought, Jetpack. I don’t know what’s happened at Automattic, but it ain’t good.

Hello there – Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the recent changes to Jetpack Stats. I understand that price changes can be difficult and I want to address your concerns.

After many years of providing the Jetpack Stats service for free, we’ve had to make the tough decision to introduce paid versions to ensure the sustainability of the product. We are actively investing in the development of the Stats feature, and you will see more enhancements in the future. This change helps us maintain the quality, cover development costs, and continue to add new features.

However, we still offer free stats for completely non-commercial sites, as well as many other free features within Jetpack. If you share your site address with us, we can confirm if it qualifies for free stats. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
