Statistic overview does not work with cloudflare

    Hello,

    I use Cloudflare CDN and proxy. For some reason, Cloudflare does not forward or send the cookies to the WordPress REST API in the AJAX Requests that load the data in the statistics overview. This causes the WordPress REST API to think I am not authenticated.

    It would be nice to have an option to deactivate the loading of data via AJAX and the REST API, and instead load the data directly in the initial HTML document.

    Everything works correctly when I deactivate Cloudflare and load the resources from my web hosting provider’s server instead of Cloudflare.

    Edit:
    Firefox + Cloudflare does not work
    Chrome + Cloudflare works

    But without Cloudflare every browser works

    I am not sure what causes this behavior but nontheless, serving the data in the initial html document rather than lazy loading/ajax/restapi would be nice.

    Solution #1:

    1. Go to Statistics – Settings – Basic Tracking.
    2. Ensure that Cache Compatibility is Disabled.

    If the above does not resolve the issue, please try:

    1. Go to Statistics – Settings – Basic Tracking.
    2. Ensure that Cache Compatibility is Enabled.
    3. Enable the Bypass Ad-Blocker option.

    nothing works. I am not sure if you even read my report. The issue does not lie in tracking but in displaying the statistics data in the overview.

    Based on the discussion in the following link, the first recommended solution is to bypass the overview from cache/proxy:

    Also, please test the Bot Fight Mode setting in Cloudflare to see if it affects the issue.

    Additionally, since the issue appears only in Firefox, here are a few settings to check:

    1. Clear cache and cookies.
    2. Disable extensions temporarily.
    3. Set Enhanced Tracking Protection to Standard.
    4. Check for mixed content blocking (look for a shield icon in the address bar and allow mixed content if prompted).
