Static SideBar.php Not Displaying Japanese Characters

  • I can not get a static sidebar to display Japanese characters. The rest of the system seems to be able to display. It is only the sidebar that that seams to have a problem. The text looks like this:

    ???C???O????????????

    I looked but I can find the solution to this. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Ok I figured it out if anyone else has this problem in the future. You can not have static HTML with Japanese text. It has to be done through the system.
