Static pages' caches are regenerated on every reload
-
Hi,
On my site, I use WP Super Cache and tags, categories, single-posts are cached fine. However, pages – home as well as all other static pages – are re-cached everytime you reload them. I have checked this with the html-comment, WPSC inserts at the end of the page.
My pages use random header images, but this randomness is limited to a 6 hour cycle. I use a custom field to save a date-stamp and the url of the image to show for the next 6 hours. If 6 hours are over, an attachment-random-query is executed and the attachment-url is saved into the custom field with a new timestamp. – This is all that deviates from a “standard” page.
Could *this* be the cause? And: How would I find out?
Thank you!
