static page/landing page shows comments box?!

  • I just installed Genesis 2.0 running Agency Child Theme. I created a static page/landing/home page with a custom background; however, it shows a “Speak Your Mind” dialog box at the bottom to enter comments?! How do I get rid of that from the static page/landing/home page & move it to the BLOG Page?

    P.S. Instead of the “Speak Your Mind” dialog box at the bottom of the static/landing/home page, I would like to add the page hit counter that appears on all the other pages’ right panel via a widget.
