static front page with posts among other things, how?

  • if i set initial page with static one, how and where do i put some posts under other things (image, tetxt ,hover icons…)

    i have solved it instaling “Site Origin Plugin” and adding widget “Site Origin Post Carousel”, all that in a standard post template type.

    But i was wishing for a non Site Origin solution.
