• I might be going at this backwards – but it begs the question.

    The plug-in works fine as it stands: I create the page and then I add my posts. When I link to that “Page”, my recent posts appear there on top.

    Great!

    However, I’d like to invert that a little bit.

    How can I make up a static page, and then let the posts follow below. The page allows the visitor to see all of the goodies on the static, and then follow on with posts below?

    Should I be thinking a child-theme architecture with that thought?

    Just make a static page with content and add your shortcode after the content.

    your content…text, images, etc…

    [blog_in_blog category_slug=’name_of_category_you_whish_to_show’ num=30 pagination=off order_by=date sort=desc]
