static page in homepage

  • Hi to everybody!

    I need to set a static page with a custom template as homepage.

    I’ve copied page.php in my 2017-child directory, renamed, changed the row for the name of template (in my case Template Name: Template Home IT).

    I’ve created a new page, I chose my custom template, saved.
    If I visit the link of the page all works, but if I set this page as homepage, nothing is shown (apart from admin menu, navigation menu and footer).

    What did I do wrong?
