Hi! I’m using the pictorico theme on my site (wellproducedwines.com). I want to have a static page at the wellproducedwines.com root URL, and have a link on that page to the gallery page (the page with the 12 photos on it).

I know how to change the front page to a static front page, instead of my latest posts. But I do want the my latest posts page too, under wellproducedwines.com/posts.

Is there a way to move the “latest posts” page to /posts so I can have a static front page at wellproducedwines.com?

    Thanks in advance.

    -Michael

Hi Michael, you can definitely assign your posts to another page, when you’ve set a static front page.

Create a page and call it Blog or News, or whatever you like. Now under Settings > Reading, select the page you just created as your Posts Page:

Reading Settings Sketch 1 1 1 by WordPress com WordPress

This method applies in any theme, it’s not specific to Pictorico – it’s a WordPress-wide setting.

Let me know how it goes!

    Kathryn,

Thank you for the help. I saw the box to pick the posts page, but I couldn’t figure out how to make it work. It was actually easy, but hidden in plain site.

I made a new menu to help navigate, and created a “Reviews” menu choice.

    I’m very happy.
