Static Page and Featured Content not working

I am trying to have my blog posts set on a separate page and come up on my home page. I have followed all the directions for setting up the separate pages and making them static and everything. My posts are still not coming up on my homepage. When I set it to latest posts instead of static, then my separate blog page becomes blank. I also have a features section on my home page with my blog, about, and about me. The about and about me sections are loaded but my blog section is blank minus the title. How can I get these fixed? I am using the theme Signify. Please and thank you!
