• I wish to create a page that will always be displayed on the front page of my blog.

How do I determine if the front page is being called and get the page to be published.

Why you may ask? instead of creating a static index.php. I wish for others that assist in managing the site to update the page without having to alter the templates.

  • You could probably change the settings so that the blog is set to only show one post on the main page, and install the extension that allows you to create a sticky post that always stays at the top. Then people could access your entries through the archive pages instead.

thanks, do you happen to know what the plugin is called?

Adhesive (that link goes to the WP 2.0 version) is probably the best for the job.
