Static Noise with Audio Player in Safari and Firefox

Hello fellow developers/designers,
I’m having an issue with the Flash MP3 Audio player (non word-press player)in that there is static noise when I play the audio inside of Safari and Firefox. With Internet Explorer, there is no static noise and the audio plays just fine (even when I scrub the play head).
This was an AIFF file that my client provided for me which I converted to an MP3 inside of Audacity.
It would seem to me that there is a bug with Safari and Firefox, otherwise, why would this audio player play well inside of Internet Explorer?!
Does anyone know anything about this type of issue? Has anyone experienced this problem before and what are your suggestions? I’m going to provide a link to the website so that you can hear the MP3 audio player inside of all the browsers:
