• I’ve set my homepage to be a static page instead of showing the weblog posts.

Now I’d like to have another page that shows the weblog posts… how would you recommend I do this?

    Thanks and standing by

  • Go back to that page where you set the frontpage and select another one as “posts page”.
The recommendation is to read carefully the options on your own admin panel…

    Hey Moshu,

Thanks for the vague suggestion of “reading carefully the option on your own admin panel”, but that was truly unhelpful.

I went back to my admin panel, since I would like to make one of my static pages a post page, to “read carefully the options” in my won admin panel, and here are the options I see when I select a page (I saw no options in the manage pages list at all for this):

Custom Fields, Comments & Pings, Password Protect this page, Page Parent, Page Order and Page Author.

Can you be a little more specific on where we can find this information?

You need to create a blank page – with nothing in (I call my page blog) and then set this page to be the posts page where you set your static page in the admin section.

It is under where it says:

Front page displays = A static page (select below)
set front page to be the page you want your home page to be and posts page the page that you want to diaplay your weblog posts.

check out one of my sites (www.ribbweb.org/ict) which does the same. ‘Home’ acts as the homepage and ‘Blog’ acts as my weblogs posts page.
