Static Home page – remove page title?

Hey there malky,

Hope you’re well today!

You can remove home page title by adding some custom CSS. Try adding the following CSS code in the style.css file of your child theme or add it in your site using the following plugin:

.home h1.entry-title {
display: none;
}

This should remove page title only on home page ??

This should be possible with removing the .home selector from that code. So your code should look like this:

h1.entry-title {
display: none;
}

This will remove all page titles including post titles, if you want to keep post titles please add this instead:

.page h1.entry-title {
display: none;
}

This will remove page titles from pages only. If this doesn’t work could you please post link to your site so I can take a look?

You have a CSS error that’s invalidating that:

BTW, don’t modify theme files – as those changes will all be lost when you update WP – instead use a child theme or custom CSS plugin.

So what is this error and how to resolve. I read it but it makes no sense to me as I have not made any changes other than trying the solution recommended above.

Currently deactivated all plugins.

I do have intentions of a child them, however, for the moment, I am only experimenting to see if I can get what I want.
