Static Home Page not working

    Hi, I created a page to be the home page, went to settings > reading to set it as the static home page, but the website keep sticking the the theme’s front page, any solution to make my page as the website static home page? Thank you.

    This happens because of the presence of the “front-page.html” file in the “templates” folder of the theme, which is a common practice for Block Themes.

    When we created the theme, we thought it would be a good idea to have such a template, which will be used automatically; however, now I see that this might not provide enough control.

    A solution would be to remove that file from your theme, but in the future, it will reappear when you update the theme.

    Another solution is to modify the Front Page template in the Site Editor as you want and continue using it – https://d.pr/i/GhJhxA
    You can make any change you want to the content by editing the template.

    Meanwhile, we’ll think about how to handle better templates in the theme and, hopefully, fix this problem in a future update.
