Static Home Page not showing only Front Page Template

    Hi,

    I went to settings -> reading and updated homepage to A STATIC PAGE but it doesn’t work. I see the title of the static page but the front page template still shows. How do I disable front page template?

    I have searched for last hour and can’t find anything. I’m worried it just isn’t possible to have a static page. I need a static page for SEO and other functionality that template just doesn’t provide.

    Hi John,

    Here’s a short recording where I’ve tried to showcase how you can add a static page as a homepage https://vertis.d.pr/v/4B9PQh

    You just need to click on Edit site and delete the extra sections that you don’t want.

    Great thank you! That is exactly what I couldn’t figure out.. So basically I have to create a front page template and have a content block and the content block will display the page I selected in settings. Thank you the video made it much easier to understand.

    My last question is how to I get rid of the padding of the content block. It creates a small gap between the head and page content. I’ve tried multiple things but nothing is working.

    Great thank you. I had looked for that and still never found it. I just deleted everything and started from scratch and it worked. I appreciate the help. I wouldn’t have thought to rewrite everything without it.
