Static home page

    Hi all,
    I just installed the multisport theme and the polylang plugin. I created the homepage in all four languages and the switching to the different pages works. In the description if you want a static page as home it is written: “You can choose what appears on the homepage of your website. This can be posts in reverse chronological order (classic blog) or a static / static page. To set a static homepage, you first have to create two pages. One will be the home page and the other will be the one where your posts will be displayed.”
    I did so, but still there is nothing displayed. On the other hand, I do not want to show blog entries, I just want a static page where I can insert text manually…
    Perhaps somebody has an idea?
