• Hi all..following the instructions collected from WordPress Codex I created a static home page (called ‘Home’) and a page for the new posts (called ‘news’). So far so good. the problem starts when any posts still appears on both pages, ‘home’ and ‘news’, when it should only appear on ‘news’. I also cannot get rid of the box on the front page that is allocated for the posts, but I believe once I resolved the problem above this will also be resolved. Does anybody knows how to fix this simple but annoying snag? i would be grateful. Achies

  • Have you tried switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

You should use a page-loop on your static page, and a loop for your news on the news-page. Do you know the difference?

Hi guys. Thanks for the help. I am pretty new to this whole thing of building a site, so I am a bit lost here.
I have not tried switching to the Twenty Ten theme, once I wuite like the Graphene look, but this may be an option. Thanks.
As for the Page-loop scheme, I simply do not know the difference. Could you elaborate on this Linosa? thanks.

How does your loops looks like in the different files?
