Static frontpage with excerpts of blog at the side?

    could anyone help me with this? i plan to have a static front page for my wordpress site then have a couple of blog excerpts at the side (with read more links) and article listing at the bottom (i was thinking of using sideblog?)

    is this possible?

    help on:
    – static front page hack or plugin
    – blog excerpt hack or plugin

  • Yes – I cannot think of a reason why it might not work.

    Go ahead and set the Options in your blog and pull the sidebar widget (of the plugin) and try it out.
