Static Front Page with Latest Posts

  • Hi,

    I am having trouble sharing my site on Facebook. When I share an individual post it works perfectly. It shows a featured image and looks great.

    However, when I share the website url, (www.lasthouse.org) the facebook link looks terrible. There is no website name, no details, and no images in the link.

    How can I make a static front page that features the latest posts with a featured image and title for it? I would like a description as well. This way, when I share and, “look at my website LastHouse.org” it will look nice and clickable.

    I am new to WordPress, so thank you for the help.

  • Hi,

    I always use SEO by yoast plugin. It will allow you to manually configure featured images, titles and descriptions for social networks. That way you have the control over what appears on Facebook when you share your page.

    Yoast doesn’t seem to be working for that.
