Static Front Page – is there a tutorial?

For quite some time I want a semi-static front page for our blog (instead of the normal ‘blog’ page) – full width, no sidebar.

Now I discovered that (maybe) I can do it myself with the latest theme update and some additional coding.
Is there a specific tutorial on how to create a static front page with Hueman?

Or can I use https://docs.presscustomizr.com/article/102-customizr-theme-options-front-page as a guide?
I searched yur website and the above link was all I found…

I had created this months ago, sent to a friend/WordPress expert and never got a reply… Now I might try it myself…
