Static front page dosn’t work since version 1.1.0

    You made a mistake… you added a file called “front-page.php” to the theme template and this blocks the ability to create a static homepage if someone wish that.

    i had to delete this file from the home theme to fix my issue

    Hi @roycegracie,

    No, it wasn’t mistake to add “front-page.php” in the theme. We have added it so that one doesn’t have to choose a page template to show home page sections.

    You can still create a static homepage with “front-page.php” in the theme by disabling every section of the Home Page Settings from customizer.
