• Hi,

I have searched the forum for my question, and there were indeed some posts regarding this issue, however, none of them actually answers my question.

    So here’s what I did:
I created a static page that I want to appear as my front page. If I change the settings in Settings->Reading and click on static front page, everything is fine. My selected page appears as a front page.

However, when I choose another static page below for my (dynamic) posts (blog), then nothing appears when I actually open that page (despite there being blog entries that should appear). Am I right in assuming that I only need to create an empty page, assign the standard template and choose it for the dynamic posts (blogs) that I want to appear on it, or is there any other step that I have simply overlooked?

    Thanks.

  • It should work as you described – provided you have two (2) Pages already created in your blog.

This does assume that your standard template has a Loop in it, of course. All templates should always have a Loop in them, but not all theme designers seem to understand this sometimes.
