I can’t find the setting for the static front page.
I went to appearance->customize section but I don’t see the ‘default setting’ menu. Where should I find it?

Hello, go to Settings > Reading.

I don’t see the front page setup..
All I see is these four settings:

    -Blog pages show at most
-Syndication feeds show the most recent
-For each article in a feed, show
    -Search Engine Visibility

Hi, have you created a page?
Create a new page, then you will see the settings to select your home and blog pages.

Yeah I have six pages I previously set up, and with other themes I could set up the static page in the customize section, but with oceanwp I can’t find one.

I don’t mean in the customizer, in your dashboard, click Settings > Reading, you should have the field to select your homepage.

Yes as I said before when I go to dashboard->setting->reading settings I only see four settings that are not related to my topic (Blog pages show at most/Syndication feeds show the most recent/For each article in a feed, show/Search Engine Visibility).

Should I re-install my theme or do you have any idea where it might be located elsewhere?

Have you tried to disable all your plugins? Maybe it is one plugin who move this setting from this page.

I resolved it! Thank you :D!

Hi, how did you do, it was a plugin?

I’m not the OP, but had the same problem. I created a new page, still no settings in General->Reading. I then disabled all plugins and the setting appeared. Then I re-enabled all of the plugins one by one…and the setting did NOT go away.

So I’m not sure if it was a delayed reaction to the new page or if turning off and back on a plugin solved it.

Whatever did it…the setting is magically available now.

    Thanks for the solution ??

So I’ve been searching and fighting this problem for three days now. Thanks for the solution that I couldn’t figure out myself.
