• Hey,
I need to have completely static content for the homepage.
I guess it’s “if this is the homepage [put this text here] else [do standard WP stuff]”, but I’ve got no idea how to code that…
I’m sure it’s 20 seconds work, but I’ll be super appreciative either way ??

  • You did search first right?

Mr. Helpful himself. Yes, I searched. Yes there are hundreds of requests on static pages, yes there’s even Staticize. But those are much more complex than I need, and generally are IF’s based on parameters in the querystring.
Also, standard PHP isn’t working and errors out. So, I figured I’d ask and it’d be a 20 second response. In fact, really, it probably took you almost as long to tell me to RTFM as it would have to post a code sample.
You could have simply not responded and it would have been just as useful.

Whatever, doesn’t even matter, I figured it out for myself.

Is being rude the new “I am cool?”
If that is the case, I need to start being more rude.

Relax gentleman, we are all civilized here…

Brevity does not necessarily imply any intention to be rude at all.
