    Hi

    I have tried to do a back up and got the notification that it was successful and complete.

    This can not be correct though because it states 19MB because a back up taken a few days ago was 600MB

    I am concerned that had I not noticed and then restored at a future date I would have not restored a full back up.

    Have you any ideas why it stated it was complete at 19MB

    Thanks
    Ian

    Hello @ianttt ,

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Would you please tell, if that happened multiple times? And will you please check the logs? And would you please try to Backup again and tell if you are still facing the issue?

    Hi

    Any update on this as I have tried to create a back up this week and it has tried three times and stated

    Archive created with a file size of 53.89 MB Backup Successfully Completed

    The last back up that was successful was 612 MB so is definitely not correct.

    Thanks

    Hello,

    We are sorry for the delay in updating you.

    We tried to test and try to reproduce the issue but couldn’t reproduce it.
    So would you please enable debug log in WordPress and then try to backup?
    You can enable debug log

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

    So after you set this in your wp-config.php try to backup and if you face the issue, check the debug.log file. Which you will find inside wp-content
    If you don’t find anything inside the debug log related to backuply then if possible for you go to https://softaculous.deskuss.com/open.php?topicId=17 so that we can share more information related to the issue securely.

    Hi

    Apologies for the delay.
    I have enabled debug and then checked the file after completing a back up which finished really quickly and was only 165MB which is too small compared to previous back ups.

    The debug file shows several of the following errors

    [26-Mar-2023 10:36:01 UTC] PHP Deprecated: Required parameter $link follows optional parameter $show_dates in /home/strictm6/public_html/en/wp-content/plugins/backuply/backup_ins.php on line 415
    [26-Mar-2023 10:36:27 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined array key “end_file” in /home/strictm6/public_html/en/wp-content/plugins/backuply/backup_ins.php on line 1251

    I am running PHP version 8.0

    Many thanks
    Ian

    Hi

    In the backup_ins.php file it also shows an error message stating ‘There is a syntax error on line 1264’ not sure if that helps at all but thought I would mention.

    Thanks

    Hi

    OK, so I installed latest version 1.1.2. and completed a full back up but this time I excluded images as my site has 2000 products with multiple images for each and it would be no issue if I had to re import those images to try and make the backup smaller.

    I made a few changes to my site, edited some products, plugins, some free text and orders and then restored the back up and it worked perfectly restoring to previous copy.

    Thanks so much

    Hello @ianttt

    As the Backups are working fine now and you are able to restore your website too. Will it be okay If we mark this thread as resolved?
