State/province not importing to The Events Calendar

I’m importing Eventbrite events into The Events Calendar, which stores event location data in Venue records. The Venue records are being created on import, but the “State or Province” field is not being populated with the value from the Eventbrite event. All the other data (city, postal code, etc.) is being imported correctly, just not the state/province. Is this a bug specific to The Events Calendar (the Import Eventbrite Events plugin claims to work with The Events Calendar—it’s the first calendar plugin listed!)? Has anyone else experienced this and/or found a way to correct the problem?
