I installed StatCounter for WordPress 1.01 to my plugin folder, activated it and added my statcounter code. Since then statcounter stopped recording visits.

I deactivated StatCounter for WordPress 1.01 and deleted the file from the server as well.

Where else should I remove StatCounter for WordPress 1.01 to completely uninstall StatCounter for WordPress 1.01? Thanks.

When I put the statcounter code into the template I was using at the time I installed StatCounter for WordPress 1.01 and found that statcounter does not log visits. I’ve pasted statcounter code into other templates and it works fine. Odd. Help.

“StatCounter for WordPress 1.01” It’s the version number of the plug-in, that’s all. It doesn’t mean WordPress 1.01.

I figured out what was happening. I’m using the Red Train WPG2 theme. All gallery pages loaded the stat counter properly but the footer was not loading for the rest of the site – posts or pages.

I added the statcounter code into index.php and page.php. This has resolved the problem.

I did find a reference to statcounter_code in my database which was inserted by “StatCounter for WordPress 1.01” and have since removed it.
