Stat totals showing zero and not adding up

@trauma717 Hmm… could you go into the Edit Event screen and see if the Total values are manually entered as 0? If the zeroes are in black text, you can delete them to reveal the automatic totals.

@brianmiyaji that actually did the trick. Any idea why it would randomly put zero’s for the totals like that? Ironically enough, even though totals were showing up for Defense on the front end, they were showing as zero totals in the back end in the event. Once I cleared those out as well, all the fancy player performance bars at the bottom of the event moved correctly. What may have caused this issue by chance? I don’t want to have to do this for every single event.

It’s very hard to check what is causing that as we don’t have access to your site, but if you have access to the revisions panel for your event you can see when that have been added, maybe it was when you created the event.

@trauma717 If you’re wondering how zero totals were automatically added, this might date back a few years ago when we changed the behavior of totals in the dashboard from values to placeholders:

If you’ve been using SportsPress for a while, events added prior to version 0.5 would have zeroes in the box score totals for those events. Newer events shouldn’t be affected, though. I hope this clears things up!

@rochesterj I actually do not see a revisions section for created Events. I accidentally removed a team from one event and updated, and when looking for a revision section, one was not found. Can you tell me where that is located in the Event?

@brianmiyaji I started with SportsPress right around when v2 was released, just before that. These events were created only 3 months or so ago. So far, I have had to manually remove random zero’s from the total columns for 3 events. No rhyme or reason why it happens, not that I can see at least.
