  • Hey,
    It depends which default theme you are using.
    In the dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes and switch to a different theme.
    You should also create a menu, logo etc before.
    Creating the header and footer elements is possible with Elementor Pro, BTW

    @benpines

    I am using the default theme i.e Twenty Seventeen. If I can’t see the mentioned elements in that, please recommend the theme it is likely to work with.

    Thanks

    I can’t recommend a theme. GeneratePress, Oceanwp and Astra are free and are quite popular

    I have activated the Oceanwp theme. The result is the same – See Screenshot

    Hence the issue is not Theme specific. Kindly suggest how to troubleshoot the same further.

    Thanks

    You havent added a menu through the WordPress dashboard.https://youtu.be/lUAWMnvOYFI

    @benpines That’s exactly my query. As mentioned earlier, the video shows the menu already added when a first new page is added.

    That means, incase of the video a menu has been already added beforehand?
    Since it is a getting started video i.e first step, its confusing.

    Elementor is not the tool to create menus with. WordPress is. I sent a video explaining how to do it. I can’t do more than that.

    Most ‘how to make a website’ tutorials shoe this. I siggest you look into it

    @benpines neither am I asking help as how to create a menu or a website. I am asking a very particular clarification with regard to a plugin that you support.

    Let me repost the query that I asked in the first go.
    This is the Getting started video tutorial for Elementor – Video

    At 00.21 secs of this video, it explains as to how to create a first page with Elementor. It shows a menu on top of the new page being created.

    Since this is the first page being created, Does it mean the menu was created before the first page creation?

    A simple yes/no will suffice and will do a lot of help for starting up.

    Thanks

    Yes, build the menu before

    @benpines Thanks for the confirmation.
