• Hi folks
    Got a host, upgraded plan to enable WordPress… got no idea where to start. Have designed sites before, but first time wordpresser!
    any advice appreciated, but keep it simple for me… please!

  • Your host should offer an installer of some kind that will put web software on your server, typically using a simple wizard to walk you through it. There a a ton of different ones out there, but I use Softaculous, which is available in hosting control panel we use. Here’s a video on how to use Softaculous if you have it. If you don’t see it in your host control panel, contact your provider and ask them if they offer something similar to automate the installation of WordPress.

    If not, and you’re comfortable creating our own database and uploading a copy of the WordPress files via FTP, then you can’t go wrong with the Famous 5-Minute Install
