Starting Location

I can understand that the starting location should some location where to base some sort of “distance”, but when someone clicks on “directions” can you **not** start from starting location?
I am trying to provide people map for the location they need to get to from where “they are” and not where I am (starting location).
It is confusing for users, especially, those who are not that savvy on the net.
Is there a workaround this problem, or can can you fix it or provide an option?
