Start WordPress at login page

Is there or has there been anyone who modified wordpress start up to go directly to the login page (prior to displaying the theme’s front page)?

I have the requirement to not display blog content until a login has been successful.

This has probably been coded already and do not want to ‘re-invent the wheel’.
