    Hi,
i already used this great plugin and moved my site to a new wordpress and updated the plugin to the new versions.

    Used:
    wordpress 5.5.1.
    Contact Form 7 Version 5.2.2
Contact Form 7 – Submission id Version 2.1.0

I use [submission_id_hidden submission_id-50 “20000”] and i changed the “50” to multiple random numbers and used the “create-new-id-button”. But the ID always starts at “1” and not “20001”. So i think the Version ignores the start-value.

    AND
even if a change the submission_id-50 to 60 or press the “new submission id” Button in Forms it still counts with the old counter.

    Excample:
    I tested [submission_id_hidden submission_id-50 “20000”] 5 Times. I got ID 1,2,3,4,5.
    I changed to [submission_id_hidden submission_id-60 “20000”], changed the id in E-Mail-Bodys and i get ID 6.

    Any suggestions?

    Sincerly
    Patrick

I “fixed” it now within the database and changed cf7_submission_id_COUNTER in postmeta to 20000. But you might wanna look at this.

me again: I didn’t fixed it. Now it does not increase the Counter at all. It stays as 20000.

This should be fixed in version 2.2.0 I just released.
You should create a new contact form for the changes to have effect

It worked after deleting the cf7_submission_id_COUNTER and making a new Counter in the form with the new Version 2.2.0.

    Thanks a lot!

It there maybe another problem with high numbers?
I started with 21000 and i thought it works. But now i got the 21002 two times…
