    Hey Richard and team,

Great plugin. I have it up and running on https://benandjacq.com as well as in the sidebar on all the blog pages at https://benandjacq.com/blog

When I have it set to display the rating as stars, it only shows them when I’m logged in (it calls the dashicons-css file only for logged-in users.) Is that normal?

I ended up hard-coding the <link rel='stylesheet' id='dashicons-css' href='https://benandjacq.com/wp-includes/css/dashicons.min.css?ver=4.1' type='text/css' media='all' /> line into my theme header to make it work, but wanted to reach out to see if I am doing something wrong.

Am I right that dashicons.min.css is typically only called in admin-init? Is this new for 4.1?

Again, great plugin. Also, I see that you guys are in Raleigh. I’m over in Cary/Morrisville. Glad to be “buying local” on my WordPress plugins!

    Hey Ben!

Those styles have also been added to our own stylesheets, because of the very issue you point out above.

Can you let me know what version of the plugin you are using, and if you are including our stylesheets?

    Cary/Morrisville is close by!

    Best,

I just downloaded it yesterday. I’m using 1.17.5.

Do I have to do anything special to include your stylesheets? I include wp_head() in my theme files, assuming it would output all necessary stylesheets and scripts.

And, before you ask, I am using w3 total cache, but I tested with it deactivated just to make sure I wasn’t being hoodwinked by the caching system. I also checked my CDN (amazon s3) and the entire includes folder for your plugin is there.

I am growing ever-confident that this is a “new child theme developer” mistake. Glad to be learning.

    Hey Ben!

It could be we are only adding that CSS for the Premium Themes, although they aren’t required to display stars on the front-end — do you have the Pro version of the plugin?

If that is the case, then I will add this to our to-do list to patch.

    No, I haven’t gone pro yet. ??

Showing the stars isn’t indicated to be a pro feature, though.

If that’s the case, it’s all good. Glad to know I haven’t lost my mind. Spent far too many minutes on this problem yesterday.

    Hey Ben,

This should have been addressed with a recent update, and as such I am marking this topic resolved.

Please let me know if you have any further issues.

    Best,
    Richard
